About this policy
Lateral Pro is a private, internal application used by the staff of Lateral MGMT UK Ltd ("Lateral MGMT", "we", "us", "our") to forecast income and track commission for the artists and clients we manage. It is a tool for our own team — it is not a public product and is not offered for general sale or use.
This policy explains what information the Lateral Pro application handles, how and why, and the rights you have. It applies specifically to the Lateral Pro macOS application. (Our public website has its own separate privacy statement.)

Who uses Lateral Pro
Access is limited to authorised Lateral MGMT staff, each with an individual account created by an administrator. Everyone signs in with an email address and password, and what each person can see and do is governed by their assigned role.
What information the app handles
Lateral Pro processes only the information it needs to do its job: Account information — your name, email address, and assigned role, used to sign you in and control your access. Authentication credentials — your password (stored only in securely hashed form, never as plain text) and a session token (held in your device's secure Keychain so you stay signed in). Business and financial records — the income, commission, forecast, target, and invoice information that staff enter for the clients we manage. This is the core working data of the app. Client photos — optional images that staff may add to a client's record. Operational records — an audit log of changes (who changed what, and when) kept for accuracy and accountability, plus the basic technical logs needed to run the service securely. The app does not collect advertising identifiers, browsing history, location data, or any information unrelated to its function.
How and why we use it
We use this information solely to provide the app's functionality: signing users in, displaying and maintaining client income and commission records, running the approval workflow, producing dashboards and reports, and keeping the system accurate and secure. We do not use it for advertising or marketing, we do not profile individuals, and there is no automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on any individual. Legal bases (UK GDPR). We process staff account information on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating and securing our business systems, in the context of our working relationship with our staff. Client business and financial records are processed for our legitimate business interests in managing our clients' affairs and meeting our professional and legal obligations.
Tracking
Lateral Pro does not track you. It contains no third-party advertising and no analytics SDKs, and it does not share any information with other companies' apps or websites for tracking or advertising purposes.
Where your information is stored, and how it is protected
The app's data is held on a private server operated for Lateral MGMT and hosted within the European Union. We protect it with measures including: encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) between the app and the server; role-based access control, enforced on the server, so each user reaches only what they are permitted to; passwords stored in hashed form, and session tokens kept in the device Keychain; automated, encrypted backups, with the backup encryption key stored separately from the backups themselves. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect this information.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. We rely on a small number of service providers who act as our data processors, under contract and only on our instructions — specifically our hosting and backup-storage provider, which stores the data on our behalf within the EU. We may disclose information where we are legally required to do so (for example, in response to a valid legal request) or where necessary to establish or defend our legal rights.
Data transfers
Our company is based in the United Kingdom and our hosting is within the European Union. Where information moves between the UK and the EU, it is protected by appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as it is needed for the purposes described here and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Financial records are retained for the periods required by UK law. Account information is kept while a person is an authorised user and is removed or disabled when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal information, including the right to access it, to have inaccurate information corrected, to have it erased or its use restricted in certain circumstances, to object to certain processing, and to data portability where applicable. To exercise any of these, contact us at info@lateralmgmt.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Children
Lateral Pro is a workplace tool for our staff and is not intended for, or directed at, children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top.
